GWOT FOB PODCAST EPISODE 43 – Sam Juan is an Afghanistan CST Veteran and Badass!!
In this episode, we hear from Army Veteran and CST Afghanistan Veteran Sam Juan as she tells her story. Maria Samantha “Sam” Juan is a Filipina-Persian American writer, visual artist, speaker, and U.S. Army combat veteran.
Sam was among the first elite women selected to attach and deploy with Special Operations units (including JSOC and DEVGRU) in eastern Afghanistan to engage with local women and children as part of the Cultural Support Team (CST).
She received the Bronze Star and was a 2014 Pat Tillman Foundation Scholar.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) has been diagnosed in nearly 350,000 service members and veterans since 2001, while post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has affected even more individuals. Combined, these conditions have attributed to twenty veteran suicides each day.
