In a groundbreaking initiative to support veterans, three distinguished Ohio non-profit organizations have pledged to combine their expertise and resources to enhance the availability and accessibility of equine programs for veterans. Harnessing the benefits of horse interaction, these organizations aim to serve those who have served the nation, including but not limited to veterans.

This collaborative effort involves Combat Outpost Robinson, an organization known for its dedication to veteran welfare; Stockhands Horses for Healing, a group applauded for its work in connecting humans and horses in a bond of healing and 4 Freedom Equestrian Team, which has a proven track record of fostering positive change through equine programs.

These three entities convened at the Stockhands facility in Delaware, Ohio, to formalize their partnership on March 21, 2024. This alliance aims to create a much more extensive network of support, allowing easier access to equine programs for veterans scattered throughout Ohio.

The collaborative model set forth by this partnership promises to leverage the unique strengths of each organization. By operating in concert, not only will they extend their service reach, but they will also enhance the quality and effectiveness of the programs offered. This synergistic approach is expected to foster a deepened impact on the lives of veterans, offering them a serene refuge and an opportunity for growth and recovery.

The indivisible bond between horses and humans has shown tremendous potential in aiding the psychological well-being of individuals, especially those coping with the challenges of post-military life. The gentle nature of horses can help decrease anxiety, stress, and depression while fostering feelings of peace, connection, and self-worth.

In essence, the concerted efforts of Combat Outpost Robinson, 4 Freedom Equestrian Team, and Stockhands Horses for Healing are paving the way for a brighter future for veterans by providing them not just peace of mind, but also hope, companionship, and a path to healing. Through their hands-on work with horses, veterans across Ohio will now have a greater opportunity to embark on a journey to emotional resiliency and personal transformation.
